Sylvester Mwako John, Secretary

Mr. Sylvester M. John is a Kenyan Dental Practitioner and a Health Systems Manager, currently serving as a Touching Lives Kenya Volunteer in the positions of Dental Director and Management Board Chief. He began his medical missionary journey in the year 2009 at the Kijabe Mission Hospital where he was undertaking his post graduate internship. Sylvester was born and brought up in one of the Kenya’s remote villages and his underprivileged lifestyle and Christian background taught him to be God’s hands and feet to helping the under-served and less privileged. Sylvester is a family man and a transformational leader who is energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate and through the strength of his vision and personality, he is able to inspire others to change expectations, perceptions, and motivations to work towards common goals. He has served before as the Touching Lives Kenya secretary and ambassador. He was once a keynote speaker during Touching Lives Gala and Pennsylvania Academy of General Dentistry annual conference and attended Global Missions Health Conference in the year; 2013, 2015 and 2017 in PA and Louisville Kentucky USA; where he presented the vision of Touching Lives Ministry to the American donors. As it is said of King David in the book of Acts that he “served the purpose of God in his own generation” (Acts 13:36), Sylvester believes there is a cry coming out from his generation and it is through him and many who have touched the mercies of God that this generation can be saved. Sylvester affirms his belief in the one eternal God, Creator and the Lord of the world, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who governs all things according to the purposes of His will. He has been calling out from the world a people for Himself, and sending his people back into the world to be his servants and his witnesses, for the extension of his kingdom, the building up of his body, and the glory of his name.
