Michael Ogalo, Operations Manager
Management and leadership are important for the delivery of quality services and best practices offered to the community in an appropriate, equitable and sustainable manner. Touching Lives Kenya has been blessed by Michael Ogalo’s service at different levels; his initial role was that of Committee Secretary from 2011-2015 during which Sanjweru Community Committee donated the land for the Sanjweru Medical Center project. He then joined the leadership team of Touching Lives Kenya Board as the Treasurer from 2016-2018. Due to his dedication and readiness to serve the organization diligently he has joined the cadre of Operations Manager of the Sanjweru Medical Centre Project since 2019 to date. Mike is a proud Kenyan citizen and was born and raised in Sanjweru Village, where Touching Lives is preparing to begin building Phase 1 of the hospital. He holds a Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from CILT International and currently advancing his studies to a bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology School of Business and Economics. Mike is married to Eunice Achieng and they have been blessed with three daughters, and a son. Namely, Kathleen Berryl, Pamela Nicole, Gloria Harriet and Thomas Lincoln. Mike has exemplary leadership skills and works tirelessly through networking and resource mobilization towards the goal of realizing the hope of his marginalized community of having access to quality medical services. Michael’s personal vision for Sanjweru Medical Center is that he will be able to use the managerial skills, evolve strategies and knowledge he’s acquired through training to transact different businesses on behalf of SMC and to impact the value of money the organization is spending and also to serve as a liaison for Touching Lives with the Kenyan business community currently and in years to come.
